Bill Fischer has spent his entire career observing how innovation works, from a practicing development engineer in industry and government, to being a partner in several startups. He is presently a Senior Lecturer at the Sloan School of Management, at MIT, and a Emeritus Professor of Innovation Management at IMD, in Lausanne, Switzerland. He was also the President and Dean at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai, 1997- 1999.
Bill authors a regular column on innovation leadership for Forbes.com and is the co-author of several recent books on innovation practices. He was inducted into the Thinkers50 Hall of Fame in 1999.
